Francis Anih
Career Consultant & Job Search Strategist
Hi, I’m Francis Anih, a Career Consultant and Reverse Recruiter behind Remote Careerz. Since 2022, I’ve helped job seekers across the U.S., Canada, the UK, and international markets navigate the modern job market with practical strategies for finding opportunities, strengthening applications, and approaching the hiring process with greater clarity.
My work focuses on job search strategy, remote work, resume optimization, career development, and reverse recruiting. Through Remote Careerz, I share practical career guidance designed to help job seekers make informed decisions at every stage of their search. I also run Tailored Job Application, a resume and LinkedIn optimization service where I work directly with clients to build ATS-compliant, keyword-optimized applications.
About Me
I’ve spent the past several years working as a Reverse Recruiter, helping job seekers secure roles at companies ranging from early-stage startups to well-known multinational employers. Over that time, I’ve reviewed and assessed thousands of resumes and CVs, and helped more than 251 clients land interviews by optimizing their applications for Applicant Tracking Systems and aligning them with specific employer requirements.
From identifying suitable positions and understanding job descriptions to improving resumes and preparing stronger applications, I’ve worked directly with job seekers throughout every part of the hiring process, across industries and regions spanning the U.S., Canada, the UK, and global markets.
That practical, hands-on experience shapes how I approach the content on Remote Careerz.
Rather than focusing on generic career advice, my goal is to answer the questions people actually encounter while searching for work: Where should I look? Is this position a good fit? Why am I not getting interviews? How should I prepare for a remote interview? What should I change on my resume? How can I make my job search more effective?
Remote Careerz was created to provide useful, accessible answers to questions like these.
My Background
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, which gave me a strong foundation in organizational systems and process improvement, skills I’ve carried directly into my recruiting and career consulting work.
Earlier in my career, I contributed to a corporate program that increased timely performance reviews by 35% and improved employee satisfaction by 6%, experience that shaped how I think about process, structure, and measurable outcomes in the career services I now offer job seekers.
My Areas of Expertise
My primary areas of focus include:
✓ Job Search Strategy: Finding relevant opportunities, evaluating job descriptions, improving application strategies, and building a more focused job search.
✓ Remote Work: Helping job seekers understand remote hiring, virtual interviews, remote job requirements, and how to identify legitimate opportunities.
✓ Resume Optimization: Improving resumes for clarity, relevance, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and specific job requirements.
✓ Reverse Recruiting: Actively searching for and applying to roles on behalf of clients, using advanced sourcing techniques across platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and other major job boards.
✓ Interview Preparation: Sharing practical strategies for preparing for interviews, particularly virtual and remote interviews.
✓ Career Development: Covering workplace challenges, career growth, professional development, networking, burnout, career transitions, and other issues that can affect long-term career success.
Why I Created Remote Careerz
The job market has changed considerably.
Job seekers now have to navigate applicant tracking systems, remote hiring processes, AI-assisted recruiting, online applications, virtual interviews, increasingly competitive job boards, and rapidly changing employer expectations.
At the same time, there is an overwhelming amount of career advice online, and not all of it is useful, current, or applicable to real job searches.
I created Remote Careerz to make the process easier to understand.
The goal is simple: provide practical, well-researched career information that job seekers can actually use.
Whether you’re searching for your first remote position, returning to the workforce, changing careers, improving your resume, preparing for an interview, or simply trying to understand today’s hiring landscape, Remote Careerz aims to give you a clearer path forward.

How Remote Careerz Content Is Researched
Trust matters when you’re making decisions about your career.
Content published on Remote Careerz combines practical career and job-search experience with research from reputable sources.
Depending on the subject, research may include information from employers, government agencies, established research organizations, industry reports, recruiting platforms, educational institutions, and other authoritative sources.
Statistics and factual claims are attributed to their original or reputable sources whenever appropriate, and articles may be reviewed and updated as information changes.
For job opportunities featured on Remote Careerz, readers are encouraged to verify important details and complete applications through the employer’s official website whenever possible.
My Approach to Career Advice
There is rarely one strategy that works for every job seeker.
Career decisions depend on factors such as experience, location, industry, qualifications, work authorization, salary expectations, career goals, and the current hiring market.
For that reason, the information I publish is intended to educate and provide practical guidance rather than promise specific employment outcomes.
No resume strategy, application method, interview technique, or career service can guarantee an interview or job offer.
My aim is to help readers better understand their options and make informed decisions about their careers.
Editorial Commitment
I want Remote Careerz to be a resource readers can trust.
The principles behind the content are straightforward:
✓ Accuracy: Information should be researched and presented as accurately as reasonably possible.
✓ Practicality: Articles should provide useful information rather than exist simply to attract search traffic.
✓ Transparency: Sources, relationships, sponsorships, and other relevant disclosures should be identified when appropriate.
✓ Originality: Content should provide original explanation, analysis, experience, or practical value rather than simply reproducing information available elsewhere.
✓ Updates: Articles may be reviewed and updated when important information, hiring practices, statistics, or policies change.
✓ Corrections: If a material factual error is identified, I aim to correct it as quickly as reasonably possible.
